April updates

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Hello everyone, as I write this down, I know there’s a horrible sign at the front page saying there’s a problem. In fact, there’s one.

In order to make the site more user friendly, I decided there has to be some kind of menu to let you know what you can find at BlueZone, and since I haven’t had much time to be at my pc (Right now I’m at my iPod) most probably I wrote something wrong, causing the general look to be messy.

Oh and besides, we’ve got a lot of projects ahead, about what you ask? Broadcasts.
Some time ago, we had an assigment to make a broadcast about mostly anything, we made a small, 4 people, group.
Everyone acted even a bit to fulfil the requierments, and everyone directed a bit too.
I was the camera operator and editor, and it was very stressful due to the deathline being two weeks from then.

Why am I telling you this? Because we will have to make three more broadcasts! The next one is in less than 20 days, and we haven’t even started planing it!! I’m cool with it, but I’m sure I’ll be really stressed when it comes to editing it.

About BlueZone.

I was checking several other websites and decided that maybe we should allow “anyone” to upload they’re projects, like films, art, pics. And who could have told? Even videos!

Wait, what’s the difference between a film and a video? Well, a video can be vlog (video-log) or any other piece that doesn’t need a lot of time when it comes to production.
On the other hand, a film is an art form, you just need imagination and you can do anything.
Take “Poker Time 1″ and “HotAir Balloons” as an example.
Poker Time is clearly a video, because we just recorded everything while playing poker, while, HotAir is audio-synced, and it’s production took around four hours.

Now the interesting part, the “BlueZone Community”.
It’s a known fact that many teenagers like drawing and painting, well, why not make BZ something like an online portfolio? If more users upload stuff, then they will inevitably tell their friends about it, that will make their friends visit BZ, and If we generate traffic, then more and more people will visit BZ, and if that happens, any artist that uses BZ as a portfolio will get more and more views, reviews, and critiques on their art.
It’s brilliant!

Anyways, that’s just a theory. We still need to see if it works out.

jckobeh out!

Feb. Updates

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

So, what has happened all this time we haven’t uploaded anything?
Well, we went on a field trip to make some quite nice bazookas, and study several physic’s class laws.
So expect a film soon, and another one about “stuff that flies”.

Also, tomorrow Ian and I are going to a science exposition, along with other 4 students from our shool, where we will show this country what our knowledge is about!
Wanna guess how? Well, you surely have seen the typical volcano that works thanks to a chemical reaction, or any other mind-bogling complex project, anyways, what we are doing is some sort of plastic fence.

No, seriously, it’s true.
But that’s not weird, since last year, our school won using a brick.

Oh that’s not all, this Friday we’re going to film a news broadcast at Jose’s place.
It’s for school obviously, but maybe I’ll upoad it if it happens to be worth watching, but do not fear, it’s only 4 minutes long!

Well, that covers the basic for now, see ya.

My sister’s laptop stopped working. (She somehow managed to burn the core of the start-up processor) and for the last 5 days she has been breaking it into little pieces (I say little pieces because many parts are impossible to take appart without a hammer)

But, since she lacks brute force I helped her to break up the screen, and while doing so everything broke up and many pieces went flying in all directions.
What happened?
ow my hand!

And tomorrow we will film some stuff at Ian’s place. hopefully its worth watching
